Meet the Findlays: Honorary Campaign Co-Chairs

Randy and Claudia Findlay

We are thrilled to announce two Calgary philanthropists have joined forces with Rundle as honorary co-chairs of the Building Futures campaign.

Claudia and Randy Findlay, who have been involved in important causes in our community, will work alongside the campaign committee to help raise money for and awareness of Rundle Academy and the impact of the school on students and their families.

“The school fills a vital educational need and deserves to be supported,” says Randy, who has been involved in fund development for not-for-profit organizations for 30 years. “Being able to attend a school like the Academy makes all the difference in the world. It saddens us to think about the families who can’t attend because there aren’t enough seats – but we hope to help change that. Rundle Academy is fulfilling a need in Calgary and in society.”

The Findlays know firsthand how life-changing the Academy can be on a child. Their five grandchildren have attended Rundle schools, including two currently at Rundle Academy and one Academy alumni.

“They’ve all found joy in learning through their accomplishments and can go forward with confidence,” says Claudia, who has been an active volunteer in schools and in the community. “There really is something unique that happens at the Academy for kids. Being at a school where they get the support they need impacts the wellbeing of the whole family.”

Head of School Dr. Jason Rogers is elated to have Claudia and Randy’s wealth of knowledge and experience as fundraisers joining the campaign.

“The Findlays are among the most exceptional and selfless people in the Calgary community. They bring a passion for fundraising and relationship-building experience to our committee, all for the benefit of young people with learning disabilities and their families,” Jason says. “We are so lucky to have their support as community leaders and as Rundle grandparents on the Building Futures campaign.”

You can learn more about Claudia and Randy by reading their biographies.

Let’s join Claudia and Randy in making Rundle Academy’s expansion a reality.

With your support, the Academy will continue to be Alberta’s premier school for students with learning disabilities, where differences are not seen as negatives but as the connection that brings all our students together and fosters a true sense of belonging.
